John Robert Halbach
July 12th, 1934 - February 11th, 2012
John R. †œJack†� Halbach of Arvada, CO died peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2012 at the age of 77. Jack was born on July 12, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to Raymond and Alice (Souvignier) Halbach. He lived in Omaha and Chicago before spending the last 45 years in Arvada. He married Anna Joyce Kenny in Omaha on May 5, 1956. Jack is survived by his wife, Anna; his daughter-in-law Beverly of Arvada; his sons, Chris (Michelle) of Wheat Ridge, Karl (Noreen) of Atlanta, Pat (Susan) of Centennial and Joe (Jennifer) of Montrose; his daughters, Jennifer (Bob) Little of Broomfield and Sheila Quintana of Palisade; his brother, James of Wheeling Il and sister, Rosemary of Omaha as well as 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike and his son-in-law, James Quintana. Jack spent the early years of his career in product sales for a number of different companies. He spent the last 25 years of his career working for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1992. Jack spent a great deal of time raising his seven children. He coached many of their football, baseball and softball teams and attended their various activities. One his greatest pastimes and pleasures was attending the various athletic and other activities of his 17 grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing golf and poker and was a black belt in karate. Having recently celebrated 25 years of sobriety, Jack was an active member and sponsor for others at his Alcoholics Anonymous group via the Primary Purpose Club.
