November 21st, 1958 - July 25th, 2021
David R. Smith, age 62, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Sunday, July 25th, 2021. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Thursday, July 29th at 5:00 p.m. at Comet Grill, 2224 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. An additional "Celebration of Life" will be held in Nashville, TN on Sunday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. David a native of Nashville, TN and has lived in Charlotte, NC for a number of years. He was employed at US Airways/American Airlines for over 30 years. He loved to fly and started flying at a very young age He took his first solo flight on his 16th birthday. He loved his family and his friends and would do anything to help anyone. He had a heart of gold. David is survived by Diane Yost, Denise Armstrong and Donna Smith.
