Michael Herbert Lynn Bestgen

Michael Herbert Lynn Bestgen, 46, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2022. Michael was born on November 20, 1976 in Charlotte, NC, to Michael Hiner and Linda Bestgen. He grew up in Concord, NC and attended Northwest Cabarrus High School. He was a loving and affectionate father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. Professionally, he spent his entire career as an HVAC technician and was dedicated to his trade. Michael loved God fiercely and wholeheartedly. He served as a church deacon and spent his life sharing the love of God with everyone he met. All who knew him, could attest to his generous and selfless personality. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Hiner and grandmother, Mavis Edwards. He is survived by his five children: Michaela, Michael, Chloe, Lydia, and Braden Bestgen; mother, Linda Bestgen Potter; brother, Justin (Kim) Bestgen; sisters, Renee and Shiloh Potter; uncles, Scott Yandle and Tim Hiner; aunts, Sharon Martin, Sandra Rhyne, and Donna Hiner; nieces, Deziree Bestgen and Adriel Childers; nephews, Justin Jr. Bestgen and Camden Potter; and numerous cousins and extended family members. Michael's grandmother, Carolyn Upright, followed him in death just two short days after his passing. We know he was there, dancing and laughing, to greet her at Heaven's gates. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23rd, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations, located at 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC.
