Margaret Fisher Griggs
October 19th, 1939 - June 21st, 2023
Margaret Fisher Griggs died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 21, 2023. Born on October 19, 1939, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, she is preceded in death by her parents, Dovie Barringer Fisher and Berry Fisher. Margaret Ann was the youngest of five children, the sole daughter. She is survived by two daughters, Amber Griggs, of Atlanta, and Melanie Griggs Wager, of Charlotte, son-in-law Jason Wager, three grandchildren, Nick, Gabe and Merrick, as well as her brother, Rev. Larry Fisher, of Burlington, North Carolina. Margaret raised her young daughters in Charlotte and later moved their burgeoning family of kids, horses, cats and dogs to a rural setting in Marshville, NC. After returning to Charlotte in the 90s, she worked for a regional nonprofit organization and in corporate finance. After retiring, her passion was spending time with her grandchildren. The family is planning a celebration of Margaret's life on July 29, 2023, at her daughter's home in Charlotte.
