Cecil David Hill

Cecil David "Water Bug" Hill, 68, of Mint Hill, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born April 24, 1953 in Charlotte, NC to Charles Neil Hill and Lula Deese Hill. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shelby Hill; his son, Christopher David Hill of El Paso, Texas; his daughter in law, Julie Hill, and four beautiful grandchildren, Jacob, Chloe, Haley, and Colton, of Charlotte, NC; his brother, Christopher Mark Hill, and wife, Lori, of Concord, NC; his uncle, MD Hill, and wife, Shirley; and his aunt, Fran Harris. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Charles (Chuck) Hill. David worked for the Charlotte Fire Dept for 28 years and retired in 2008. He was the owner and operator of Performance Pressure Power for 22 years. A true Renaissance man, David's versatility led him to many jobs over the years. God had given him the talented gift of doing just about anything he set his mind to. He made many friends along his journey through life. He loved bowling, fishing, motorcycles, music, and NASCAR. He always had a full plate of things to do, places to go, and people to see. He tried to get this all in before it was time to go home to heaven and finally rest. The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 12:30pm on Friday, November 26, with a memorial service to follow, with Pastor Jody Wetta officiating at Tribute & Tallent Funerals and Cremations at 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte, NC 28205.
