Daniel Patrick Lombard, 53, of Charlotte, died May 17, 2018. A beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, Dan is survived by his wife of 19 years, Dawn; sons Michael, Nicholas, and Aidan; brothers Jack Lombard (Andrea) of Fort Myers, FL, and David Lombard (Barbara) of Winthrop, MA; sisters Susan Somers (Peter) of Kingston, MA, and Kathy Slatt (Robert) of Hanover, MA; Brothers-in-law Jason Lyon (Tim) of Los Angeles, CA, and Ed McDonald of CO; 9 nieces and nephews and many loving cousins. Dan was pre-deceased by his beloved sister Karen McDonald and brother-in-law John Somers Jr. Dan was born February 12, 1965, in Winthrop, Massachusetts to the late John & Marion (Morrissey) Lombard. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from North Carolina State University in 2012. At the time of his death, Dan was a Senior Financial Analyst at Axa Equitable. Although Charlotte was his longtime home, Dan remained a die hard fan of the New England Patriots throughout his life. He loved spending time with his family and his two dogs and enjoyed frequent trips to the beach. He could play beach bocce ball with the best of them. A celebration of Dan's life will be held at Olde Providence Racquet Club, 5630 Sharon View Road in Charlotte, on Sunday, May 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
