Steven "Bo" Short

Steven "Bo" Short age 54, from Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday July 29, 2022 after a 15 month battle with leukemia. He was born October 15, 1967, the son of Virgil Short and Linda Marie Tilley Short. He worked as a brake, tire, chaise mechanic for several companies over the years such as BFI, Cowan Intermodal Group and Chambers Transportation. Steve loved all sports. He started playing baseball at a young age for Mallard Creek Optimist Club. He continued playing softball into adulthood and then golf became his game. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Steven Dale Short Jr. He is survived by his 2 sisters Shelby Hill from Mint Hill, NC, Susan Noone (Tina) from Huntersville, NC and 1 brother, Danny Short, also from Huntersville, NC; 2 very close grand nephew Levi Harris, Garrett Bo Harris and many other additional neices and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at Springwood Church Of God 1007 Hickory Grove Road, Gastonia, NC, 28056 at 2 pm with Pastor Scott Huffman officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.Tribute and Tallent Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of Cremation.
