Ellen Pope

Ellen Mae Pope Born on June 7th, 1951 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 9th, 2020 due to ALS. Daughter to Addie Mae Eddinger and Raymond Clarence Everhart. Ellen is survived by two sisters, Mary Armstrong and Becky Martin. She had several brothers & sisters that passed before her: Mabel Steed, Bill Everhart, Jack Everhart, James Everhart, Harold Everhart. She leaves behind her three daughters Angela Hill (Doug), Carol Clark (Chris), and Cristal Cox, from her former husband of 25 years, Bobby Cox. She had seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren who she has also left behind. Ellen was full of life and spunk and a little bit of sass. Even in her last days, she was still high spirited and brought smiles to all those around her. She showed her love for family with her delicious home cooked meals and family gatherings. She was a very generous woman who enjoyed giving to others even when she didn't have much to give herself. She loved to laugh and dance, but most of all loved anything Elvis. She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones but we will keep her spirit alive in us. There will be a celebration of life service Monday, July 13, 2020 @ 7:00pm at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Lexington nc.
