Carlene Tickle Renegar

Carlene Tickle Renegar passed Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in Surry County, and grew up in Toast, NC. "Carlene Tickle from Toast" she would say. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Maude Tickle. She graduated from Franklin High School where she was the captain of her basketball team. She later returned to school to become a cosmetologist. She had a successful career for many years at Hair 6000 in Clemmons, NC. Upon retirement she relocated to Charlotte, NC. She volunteered and supported Crisis Assistance Ministry. She loved animals and the outdoors where she spent much time riding horses. She loved cooking and could make the best cherry pie and chicken pie hands down. She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children Jack Renegar. She is survived by her beloved sidekick maltipoo Hubbel. Her brother Jim Tickle and sister Linda Moore. She is also survived by her three children Tim Renegar and wife Heather of Winston-Salem, Carla Rose and husband Ed of Charlotte and Catherine Menke and husband Cliff of Charlotte. She had six grandchildren, Blake and Brice Renegar, Kayla and Chase Rose and Noah and Genevieve Menke. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Trisha Gettys for being a wonderful caretaker in the last year of her life. A private family service will be held Saturday, December 19th in Lancaster SC.
