Barbara Lovett Epps

Barbara Lovett Epps, 83, died on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. She was born November 15, 1933 in Kings Mountain, NC, a daughter of the late William Monroe Lovett and Anna Glenn Lovett. A loving wife and mother, she was a retired Legal Secretary. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00P.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the Chapel of J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte with The Reverend John Barringer officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William B. Epps; 3 children, Barbara "Gigi" Mills Poole (Shawn), of Blowing Rock, NC, Rachel Beauregard (Rick), of Sturbridge, MA, and William Epps, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Evonne Matthews, of Rock Hill, SC; a brother, Everett Lovett, of Chapin, SC; 4 grandchildren, John Gilbert William Poole, Glenna Elisabeth Mills Poole, Jennifer Elise LeBlanc and John Thomas LeBlanc; and two great-grandchildren, A.J. Wentworth and Roxie LeBlanc. Mrs. Epps was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Horton.
