Bonnie Jo Hinson Hogue

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021 Bonnie Jo Hinson Hogue of Monroe NC passed away at the age of 87. Bonnie was born on December 30, 1933 in Monroe NC to Marion Oscar Hinson and Hettie Laney Hinson. Bonnie was a homemaker who was an astounding cook, devoted gardener, and love to make crafts and home decor. She loved being with her family and always put her children first. She also loved to travel the United States including Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone park. Her favorite place to spend vacations though was Myrtle Beach SC Travel Park where she would camp with her husband, children, and other family members. Bonnie was married to Elmer Thomas Hogue for 68 years. Bonnie is survived by her husband children JoAnne Hogue Haven of Texas City TX, Steven Thomas Hogue of Lexington NC, and Holly Leander Hogue of Huntersville NC as well as nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Bonnie was predeceased by her son, Terry Lee Hogue. Due to Covid pandemic the family will receive family by invitation only on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 12:30PM to 2PM at J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC 28205. The family sends gratitude to all the doctors and nurses of Atrium Health Union Hospital that took care of Bonnie.
