Gary Lee Junkins
July 4th, 1935 - February 16th, 2016
Gary Lee Junkins, age 80, passed away on February 16, 2016 at Levine-Dickson Hospice House " Southminster. He was born in Greensboro, NC to Louise and Lenford Junkins on July 4, 1935. Gary served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner and Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife Carmen, daughters, Kimberly Kelly (Steve), Leigh Fold (David), and grandsons, Kevin Kelly, Nathan and Andrew Fold. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at The Little Church on the Lane, 522 Moravian Lane, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Charlotte or The Little Church on the Lane. Cremation arrangements by Tribute Cremation Society.
