Daunte Palmer

Mr. Daunte Palmer, son of Tametrice Griffin and Donald A. Palmer, Jr., was born March 8, 2006, in Charlotte, NC, departed this life unexpectedly on January 17, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. He attended public schools in Mecklenburg county. Daunte was a Senior at North Meck High School, where he was enrolled in the dual program Aviation Institute of Maintenance. After completing his education his goal was to pursue a career in aviation maintenance. This field involves the maintenance, repair, and inspection of aircraft to ensure they are safe and airworthy. Remember me when I am gone away, Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand. Daunte had a big personality, he enjoyed making everyone feel welcome, and he had a great sense of humor. He was a young man of integrity, commitment and passion. He had a great love of cars. He could tell you the type of car coming by hearing the engine afar. He had a great love of tennis shoes, he loved Jordans. He loved the simple things in life like spending time with his precious family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Brenda Palmer, Aunt Martha McAfee (Granny) and Uncle Rodney Kluttz (Uncle Buck).His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his Mother Tametrice Griffin (Clifton Taylor) Charlotte, NC and Donald A. Palmer, Jr. (Trinai), Columbia, SC; His sister, Layla Griffin, Charlotte, NC; his Maternal grandparents, Willie and Deborah Griffin, Charlotte, NC; Paternal grandparents Donald, Sr. and Shirley Palmer, Charlotte, NC; Great grandmother Fannie Mae Klutfz, Oakboro, NC; Uncles Mayaa Griffin (Florida) and Timothy Cunningham (Eunice) Bennettsville, SC; Aunt Tammy Jackson, Gastonia, NC; Great Uncle William Jackson, Charlotte, NC and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.Daunte will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.
