Lila Wadsworth was born in 1929 in the Oklahoma panhandle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Zelma Kearns, by her beloved mentor, Eta Pauptit, her first husband, fellow student and lifetime friend, Oklahoma architect Jack M. Graves and her second husband, ASU Professor Kenneth R. Stafford, PhD. Lila worked as Engineering Tech for Civil Engineer Roland Wadsworth for 20 years prior to their marriage in 1977 that was to last forever. They were best friends and lovers and spent over 37 wonderful years working, dancing and traveling together until his death in 2013. Lila's lifelong fascination and love for Afghan Hounds began in college and lasted all her life. She served as President of the Afghan Hound Club of Greater Phoenix, Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Association and the Afghan Hound Club of America. She bred beautiful Afghans, was an AKC judge for over 40 years and especially enjoyed her judging assignments in Europe and Australia.
