David Charles Zaspel
July 1st, 1974 - January 6th, 2012
David C. Zaspel; age 37 of Johnson Creek passed away on January 6, 2012 at Fort Atkinson Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1974 in Barron County. After graduating from the special needs program at Jefferson High School in 1995, David later enjoyed working at Opportunities in Fort Atkinson and at Bethesda Day Services in Watertown. As a resident of Bethesda Lutheran Homes, he was able to do many things with the help of the staff, such as attend church, visit his foster mom, take walks, shop, and attend Camp Matz. David will be greatly missed by his foster mom, Elsie Shay of Jefferson; his foster family: Carolyn (Connie) Holcomb of Watertown, Becky (George) Jaeckel of Fort Atkinson, Darrin (Vickie) Holcomb of Watertown, Brian (Dawn ) Holcomb of Watertown; and other family members. He will also be missed by the many special friends he made at Bethesda. He was preceded in death by his foster father, Howard Shay in 1989. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church - Farmington, W4095 County Road B, Johnson Creek. Rev. Richard Pagels will officiate. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, January 11 from 3:00 pm until the time of services at the church. Burial will be on Thursday, January 12, 2011 in Osseo, WI at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Those wishing to express sympathies through donations in David's name may direct memorials to Bethesda Lutheran Communities Wish List/Camp Matz, 600 Hoffman Dr., Watertown, WI 53094.
