Antonie Dorothea Hamann
June 13th, 1926 - January 12th, 2012
ANTONIE D. HAMANN; age 85 of Jefferson, passed away on January 12, 2012 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on June 13, 1926 in Bad Kissingen, Germany, the daughter of Lorenz and Veronika (Vay) Albert. She came to the United States in 1953, and married Paul Hamann on August 1st of that year. Five years later, Antonie proudly gained citizenship in this country. She loved flowers and cherished her back yard. She enjoyed keeping busy with crafting, crocheting, and making clothes for her children when they were young. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. Antonie will be deeply missed by her husband, Paul of Jefferson; her son, Peter (Bonnie) Hamann of Lake Mills; daughters: Janet (Dale) Holmstrom of Jefferson and Sandra (Greg Thatcher) Lenz of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren: Kevin (Paula) Lucas, Sara Hamann, Jennifer Hamann, Amanda and Chelsee Niedfeldt, Carissa (Chris) Koehler, Kara Radloff; 5 great-grandchildren: Keith and Dylan Lucas, Cody Hamann, Carter Koehler, and Catriona Radloff; and sister, Veronika Borchardt of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Hamann; granddaughter Dawn Lucas; brothers, sisters, and parents. Services will be held privately. Those wishing to express sympathies through donations in Antonie's name may direct memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic School, 333 E. Church St., Jefferson, WI 53549.
