MARY ELLEN RAFFINI age 71 of Jefferson passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2013 at Alden Estates of Countryside. She was born on February 7, 1942 in Watertown daughter of the late Arthur and Ruby (Vincenz) Reick. She had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Black Hawk Senior Residence for many years, and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Mary Ellen loved to spend time with family and friends, and had a special love of animals. She will be deeply missed by her son; Scott (Cynthia) Howard of Newton Kansas, Granddaughters; Jasmine Penner of Fox Lake Wisconsin, Emily Weiss of Olympia Washington Brothers; Russell (Marion) Rieck of Janesville, Ronald (Anita) Rieck of Jefferson. Her dear friend and companion; Paul Burge of Jefferson. She is preceded in death by her daughter Renee Lynn Howard, and brother; Paul Rieck. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 19, 2013 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating private family burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at the Church from 12:00 noon until the time of services.
