MARGARET A. SCHROEDER age 78 of Jefferson passed away on July 22, 2013 at Alden Estates of Jefferson, after a long illness. She was born September 21, 1934 in Jefferson to George and Euphrosine (Endl) Schroeder. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953 as class valedictorian. She was a member of St. Lawrence and St. John the Baptist parishes in Jefferson. She was employed by the Jefferson County Highway Department and by Crepaco of Lake Mills. Margaret is survived by a sister, Mary J. (Robert) Schroeder and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Brothers John F. (Margaret) Schroeder, Joseph G. Schroeder and Paul J. Schroeder; and Sisters Rosemary Strauss, Helen (Howard) Werner and Stella (Kenneth) Herbst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Jefferson on Saturday July 27, 2013, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
