Joseph Aloysius Kasprzak
June 10th, 1926 - November 25th, 2013
JOSEPH A. KASPRZAK age 87 of Jefferson passed away peacefully on Monday November 25, 2013 at Alden Estates of Jefferson surrounded by his family. He was born on June 10, 1926 in Milwaukee, son of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Stefanski) Kasprzak. He married Loraine Weisbach on November 21, 1954 in Milwaukee. Joseph served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. He was employed at Cleaver-Brooks in Milwaukee and Lebanon Pennsylvania for 32 years. He began his career as a structural layout worker and then served as president of the Local Steelworkers Union for four years in Milwaukee. In 1959, he moved to Lebanon, Pennsylvania, as Personnel Director for Cleaver-Brooks. In 1979, he began his work for Quaker Alloy Casting as Human Resources Director until his retirement in 1987. Joe was involved in many community activities including: chairman of the American Boilers Manufacturers Association's Industrial Relations Committee and member of their Safety Committee; Past President of Lebanon area Personnel Association: member of the Board of Directors of the Lebanon County United Way; 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus; president of the Holy Name Society; St. Mary's parish council member and member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Board of Directors. Joe enjoyed woodworking, which included making frames and matting for Loraine's artwork, birdhouses and many articles of furniture for his grandchildren. He also loved singing, dancing and traveling. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. He will be deeply missed by his wife Loraine of Jefferson. Daughter; JoAnne Johnson of Pewaukee, Grandchildren; Elizabeth (Brian) Levett, Patrick Johnson, Megan Johnson, and one great granddaughter, Charlee Levett. Sister; Rosemary Gibson of Milwaukee, brothers; Eugene (Barbara) Kasprzak, and Robert Kasprzak. He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and Anthony and sister Esther. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Visitation will be at the church on December 23, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.
