November 30th, 1938 - February 16th, 2015
KATHLEEN A. GROSKOPF age 76 of Jefferson passed away on Monday February 16, 2015 at Jefferson Memory Care Center. She was born on November 30, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Earl and Kathleen (Rasmussen) Minster. She graduated from the University Wisconsin Milwaukee with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She held various positions in education until becoming a Real-estate Broker. Kathleen also served on the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors for many years. She was active in the Gemuetlichkeit Days Inc. and the Jefferson Rotary, and she and her husband were part of the Ski Patrol at Devils Lake Park. She will be deeply missed by her family; husband George Groskopf of Jefferson. Daughter Gina Groskopf and son-in-law Mark Nevins of Jefferson Grandsons; Tom and Sam Nevins. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Per Kathleen's wishes there will be no services. Instead she would want you to; Ride a motorcycle, paddle a canoe, ski down a slope, swing a tennis racket, hug a dog, dance a polka and spend time with family. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Thomas Earl Groskopf, Brother Patrick Minster. Those wishing to honor Kathleen through a donation you may direct them to Tomorrow's Hope, The Humane Society of Jefferson County, or a charity of the donor's choice. The family extends extra special heartfelt gratitude to all of those who helped make Kathleen's journey with Alzheimer's as easy as possible; including Jefferson Memory Care, Rainbow Hospice, neighbors, friends and other care providers.
