November 20th, 1940 - December 30th, 2016
LaVERNE D." VERN" ZOELLICK, age 76 of Jefferson, former long-time resident of Waukesha, passed away on Friday December 30, 2016 at Jefferson Memory Care. He was born on November 20, 1940 to Carl Zoellick and Lucille (Sayles). He proudly served in the US Army, and later was united in marriage to Phyllis (Drays) on July 4, 1964. He was employed at Waukesha Electric for 32 years before retiring. He enjoyed his motorcycle, and for many years went on annual trips with friends, but his greatest joy in life came from being a grandpa. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis of Jefferson, his son LaVerne II "Kidder" Zoellick of West Allis, his daughter, Dawn (Steve Miller) Zoellick-Cantrall of Juneau , his granddaughters, Carlee Cantrall and Amanda Miller, and siblings: Diane (Steve) Snyder of Hayward, Ron (Linda) Sayles of Genesee , Sue Sayles of Waukesha, Jim Sayles of Waukesha, Jane (Mike) Sporer of New Berlin, Shirley (John) Pleva of Waukesha, Mike (Lori) Sayles of Wales. He is also survived by other relatives and friends, especially his best buddies, Kenny and Phil. He is preceded in death by his parents. Honoring LaVerne's wishes, no services will be held.
