Harold Roy Rueth
March 3rd, 1921 - March 20th, 2017
HAROLD R. RUETH, age 96of Jefferson passed away on March 20, 2017 at Alden Estates in Jefferson. Harold was born on March 3, 1921 in Jefferson son of the late Robert and Anna (Fornecker) Rueth. He served in the United States Air Force from 1942 to 1946. Harold was employed at the University of Wisconsin Madison in the Electrical Maintenance Department. He was a member of the American Legion Reinhardt-Windl Post 164 in Jefferson, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes, and the Knights of Columbus. Harold was a gentle-man and a fine example of unconditional love, he will be deeply missed by his family; Sister Norma Elgas of Jefferson. Nieces Vicki (Ross) Solverud of Beaver Dam, Becky Schroedl of Lacrosse, Cindy (Dennis) Simmons of Madison, Brenda (Todd) Harwick of Vista CA, Diane Lenz of Fort Atkinson. Nephews, David (Sue) Rueth of Madison, John (Cindy) Rueth of Appleton, Roger Rueth of Merrill, Randy (Claudia) Schroedl of Durand, IL, Tom Elgas of Whitewater, Brian (Cindy) Schroedl of Columbus, Dan (Wendy) Rueth of Jefferson, Jim Rueth of San Francisco, CA, Tim Rueth of Cardiff, CA, Joe (Barb) Rueth of Madison, Mike Rueth of San Diego, CA. Many great nieces, and great nephews, and many great-great nieces and great-great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Anna Rueth, Brothers; Irvin Rueth, Cyril (Adeline) Rueth, Sister Germaine (Donald) Schroedl, Brother-in-law Cyril Elgas, and Nephew Tom Rueth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson with Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church on Tuesday the 28th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Memorials in Harold's name may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes.
