William Kenneth Sheetz
September 24th, 1928 - January 17th, 2011
WILLIAM "BILL" K. SHEETZ age 82 of Jefferson passed away on January 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1928 in Milwaukee, son of the late Fred and Agnes (Noon) Sheetz. He married Jacquelyn Jaap on October 31, 1981 in Wauwatosa. Bill served in the United States Army from 1948-1949. He was worked for the Carpenter Union, Pile Driver Union and the Mill Wright Unions in Milwaukee He was a member of the Delafield Legion Post #196, and the Jefferson Kiwanis Club. Bill was a heart transplant recipient 12 years ago. He used those extra years to the fullest, with his love of woodworking, wood carving, boat building and the outdoors. Any given day you may find him at an auction looking for yet another tool or gadget to "stuff" into his workshop or barn. Bill loved people and enjoyed entertaining and amusing folks with his quick Irish wit and exaggerated story telling. He will be deeply missed by his wife Jackie of Jefferson, 3 Sons; Kenneth Sheetz of California, and his children; Janelle Sheetz, and Jonathan Sheetz of Chicago. Fred Sheetz of Kenosha and his children; Joseph Sheetz of Waukesha. Bruce (Marianne) Sheetz and their children Kathleen and Samantha Sheetz of Marshfield, Step son William Jaap of Milwaukee and his daughter; Sarah Jaap of Oak Creek. One step daughter; Roberta (Jeff) Sonnentag of Waukesha and their sons Daniel Sonnentag of Madison, Peter (Claire) Sonnentag of Madison and their son Charlie One sister; Myrt Krueger of Vancouver Washington. Other relatives and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Kathleen DuPrey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, military rites will follow Mass. Visitation will be held at the Church from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Memorial may be given to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice in Bills memory. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
