Helga Margarete Snyder Age 91, a wife, a mother, a grandmother left our world peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home in Lakewood after a long ordeal with various illnesses. Helga Schuler was born May 29, 1932 in Ingelheim, Germany. Helga held various positions throughout her life, none she coveted more than Oma. She met Bob as a waitress in Germany serving American Troops. They were married on May 4, 1955. She faithfully stood by his side until his passing in 2013. After Bob’s retirement from the military, they settled in Lakewood, WA, where they called home since 1969. There she worked for Hancock Fabrics for over 20 years. Helga is survived by her daughter Elvera G. Snyder, Robert E(Stacy) Sweeney, Great Grand children Abby and Brock. As well as numerous cousins and second cousins in Germany. Helga M. Snyder’s final destination will be Arlington Cemetery sometime this fall where she will lay to rest with her Bob. In keeping with her wishes, there will not be funeral services. Friends are welcome to stop by the residence.
