It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Lee Billingsley, who left this world on the 15th of June, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on August 17, 1958, in Denver, Colorado, David lived a life marked by dedication and resilience. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Hawthorne Billingsley, Father, Earl Dale Billingsley, but leaves behind his beloved mother, Dolores Paulie Billingsley and is also survived by his siblings, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends who were touched by his kindness. 

David dedicated his professional life to serving as a janitor within the public school system. His commitment to his work and the quiet pride he took in maintaining a clean, safe environment for students and staff stood as a testament to his character. Although his role was often humble, it was integral to the daily operations of the schools he served. A man of simple pleasures, David appreciated the value of hard work and maintaining strong family bonds. Details of his personal interests and personality were not fully captured in his lifetime, yet those who knew him will recall how he enriched their lives with his presence. 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service to honor David will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. receiving Family and a 2:00pm Service, at the Romero Funeral Home ~ Chapel of Repose in Aurora, Colorado. This gathering will be an opportunity for all who knew and cared for David to pay their respects and share their memories. David will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His life, though modest, had a profound impact on those around him, and his legacy will endure through the love and memories he leaves behind.
