Ernest Martinez

Ernest Martinez lived an amazing life, a life that anyone would be lucky to have. He had 7 children of his own. He was married to his second wife, Elvira Martinez, 39 years ago and with her he gained an amazing family that loved him from day one. Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Elvira and by 4 step kids; Mirna Rivera, Oscar Cano-Rodriguez, Blanca Bermudez and Adalberto Cano-Rodriguez. He treasured his 8 grandkids; Guillermo Rivera, Diana Rivera, Luis Cano, Oscar Cano, Oscar Luevano, Veronica Cano, Mark Cano, Daniel Rivera and at least 12 great grand kids; Keanna, Kara, Marianna, Janessa, Alessandra, Markus, Aubrionna, Angelique, Ernest was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Although the names posted above were not blood, we were his family and loved him very much. Through us his memories and love will live on. May his soul rest in God and may God give us the strength to carry on. Memorial Services for Ernest will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00am, at the Aspen Memorial Chapel, 1350 Simms Street, in Lakewood. Following the service Military Honors will be presented at Fort Logan National Cemetery, with the family and friends gathering at Staging Area B, at 12:30pm.
