Ralph Deputy

Ralph was born on March 3, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the middle child between an older and younger sister. Ralph graduated from high school and left Omaha to enroll in Business College. Eventually Ralph joined the U.S. Air Force and left the service as a Master Sergeant when he moved to California. Ralph also faithfully served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. After Ralph was widowed he took his two children and transferred to Lakewood, Colorado. It was there that Ralph met Aljean, also widowed. Ralph and Aljean were married on September 1, 1973, blending their two families of a total of five children. After a time, Ralph and Aljean decided to realize their dream of owning and operating a motel and moved to Ogallala, Nebraska. In time they took over the management of a large Ramada Inn in Ogallala renaming it the Stagecoach Inn and managing it for several years. In time, Ralph and Aljean decided to move back to Colorado and opened a travel agency in Fort Collins but found their way back to Lakewood where they managed a consortium of travel agencies. Ralph retired in 1995; he always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially exploring Estes Park. For a time Ralph was the captain of his own bit boat. Ralph always had a beloved dog as a pet, the last being Dax who spent many hours by Ralph†™s bedside. Ralph left this world on January 9, 2014, a much loved husband, father, and friend. Ralph is survived by his wife, Aljean; his children, Hugh Deputy, Bruce Deputy (deceased), Brent Deputy, Kendra McCallie (Mike), and Brooke Swirczynski (Gary); by his grandchildren, Donner Deputy, Sarah, Logan and Nathan Deputy, Jessica and Adria McCallie, and Devon and Anthony Piazza; and by one great grandson, Bryce McGraw.
