Age 58 of Mahtomedi Life is Good On January 25, 2018, Bob lost his courageous 8 year battle with brain cancer. He had a strong faith, positive outlook & sense of humor. Retired from Xcel Energy in 2017 after 38 years. Preceded in death by parents Gene & Irene; father-in-law Duane Klauer. Survived by the love of his life for 32 years, Mary; children Andy (Bridgette), Becky (Shane) Gablenz, Megan (Tyler) Conroy; grandson Jaxon; siblings Rosemarie (Michael) Scanlan, Gene, Sandra (Brent) Reibel, Joe (Brenda); mother-in-law Carole Klauer; countless nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (2/1) 11:00 AM at ST. JUDE OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 700 Mahtomedi Ave., Mahtomedi. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday (1/31) 4-8 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, & one hour prior to Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research, 5K Walk on May 20.
