James "Luke" Edward Rewey
September 9th, 1946 - November 10th, 2022
Rewey James E. “Luke” Age 76 of North St. Paul Passed away unexpectedly Nov. 10, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Louise E. Rewey; wife, Pamela J. Burg; and son-in-law, Donald D. Ware. Survived by daughters, Kirsten (Zack) Rewey and Lynne Ware; son, Mike; granddaughters Rochelle (Ian) Klone and Megan (Brian) VanHouten; great-grandchildren Greyson and Peyton VanHouten and Harrison Klone; brothers, David (Dawn), Robert (Patricia), and Richard (Candace); brother-in-law, William (Joni) Burg; nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was a lifelong lover of the outdoors; a gift passed on to him by his mom and dad and which he passed on to his family. He was an avid reader and seemed to retain everything he ever read. He was also a huge fan of sports involving bats and balls-the Little League World Series, Women’s College Softball but especially the Minnesota Twins. Other sports took a backseat until after the World Series. Jim’s passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A Memorial service for Jim will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 10:00 am at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 East Seventh Ave., North St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jim’s name to Caring for Cats, North St. Paul, the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota or the DNR Non-game Wildlife Fund.
