Marlyn "Molly" Elizabeth Klein
June 3rd, 1934 - January 29th, 2023
Marlyn “Molly” Klein (Schroeder) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29th at The Homestead in Maplewood, MN after spending days surrounded by family. Molly married Gerard “Gerry” Klein on November 22nd, 1951. They spent 67 happy years together. Spending most of their time in Maplewood, MN. Molly dedicated her life to raising their six children, making sure they were happy and stuffed full of her famous sugar cookies and Chex Mix. Molly grew up on her family’s farm near St. Joseph, MN. She enjoyed bringing her young family to the farm to visit. Molly loved visiting with family and neighborhood friends. Her and Gerry were often spotted at local restaurants with their various “coffee clutches.” Molly is survived by her children, Deborah (Michael) Young, Jeanne (William) Thalhuber, James (Janet), Donna (Brian) Wert, Mary Jo (Daniel) Nestrud; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Molly was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Gerry Klein, son Kevin Klein and daughter-in-law Elisa Klein, her parents Martin and Loretta Schroeder. A visitation will be held from 11am-12pm on Friday (2/10/23) at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, with a prayer service and dinner to follow. A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (2/13/23). Molly’s children would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at The Homestead in Maplewood for their care and compassion for their beloved mother during her final time with us on earth.
