Jack L. Meyer
June 28th, 1944 - February 22nd, 2023
Age 78 of Saint Paul Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023. Jack was born in St. Paul to Jack and Ethel Meyer. Growing up, he enjoyed playing football and hockey with his lifelong friends. Jack joined the Navy after he graduated from Harding High School and enlisted for four years (1962-1966). He loved to tell stories about his time spent on Midway Island during those years. He was proud of his military service. After the Navy he married Sandra (Gregory) Meyer, and they spent 54 years together. They had two children, Kris and Eric. Jack worked for Croix Air for many years, and in 1994 he opened his own spray-painting business, American Turbine, and worked there until his retirement. Throughout his life, he enjoyed couples card club (for 50 years), candle making, camping, fishing and watching his children/grandchildren play sports. In his spare time, he loved to garden and ‘give away’ the fruits of his labor. Nothing made him happier, other than a big Twins win or a slot jackpot. Preceded in death by his parents and wife. Survived by his children, Kris (Brenden) Sturgul and Eric (Krista); grandchildren, Hayden, Lauren, Nolan and Brooklyn; sister, Jayne Meyer (Walt Stachel); many nieces and nephews; and life-long friends. Jack lived life his way and enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed by all that knew him. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, Daddy-O (Jack)! Memorial Gathering at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. Seventh Ave., North St. Paul on Tuesday, February 28th between 5pm – 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Salvation Army.
