Schmitt, Alfred J. “Fred” Age 80, of Lake Elmo, passed away on September 7, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred & Rose (Neis) Schmitt and brother, Robert. Survived by wife, Sandy; sons, Jeffrey (Laurie), Steven, & Michael (Cheri); grandchildren, Gregg, Joe, Melanie, Natalie, & Riley; and sisters, Adeline & Karon. He was a past Business Agent and Financial Secretary Treasurer for Sheet Metal Workers Local 10 for many years. Memorial Service at 11 AM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Church of St. Peter (2600 N. Margaret St., No. St. Paul) with visitation one hour prior. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Soldiers 6.
