August 22nd, 1936 - December 12th, 2023
Paul Anderson was born in North St. Paul on August 22, 1936 and passed away on December 12 th at the age of 87 due to heart failure. Paul graduated with Masters from Mankato State and worked in education for 35 years, retiring from the Mounds View School District as a High School Counselor. Paul and Mary lived in North St Paul during their retirement years in Mary’s childhood home on Silver Lake. Outside of work Paul enjoyed singing with the Dale Warland Singers for 27 years, quiet times with a book, traveling around the globe with Mary, and traveling with his children and grandchildren around the USA and Europe. Paul valued community and gave countless hours to the NSP historical society and the City of NSP. Paul’s devotion for Mary continued long after she developed dementia in 2012. He was a loving, patient caregiver and was by her side until his passing. Paul was a calm, wonderful, caring person with a quick-witted sense of humor. His departure will leave a big void in the lives of his family and friends Paul is survived by his wife Mary of 63 years, Son’s Peter (Kirstin), Mark (Leigh), Jon (Cris) and his grandchildren Sam (Katie), Jake, Josh, Lily, Annika & Jack. Visitation will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in North St. Paul on Thursday, December 21st at 10:00 followed by a service at 11:00.
