Curtis "Von" Collins

Curtis 'Von' Collins age 59 of Saint Paul passed away on January 16, 2021. He was born on May 10, 1960 in Vaiden, Mississippi to Mattie Skinner and Odell Collins. Curtis attended Vaiden Negro School in Vaiden, Mississippi and Washington High School in East Chicago, Indiana and was employed at PCI, in East Chicago, Indiana. Curtis relocated to Minnesota in 2002, where he met and married Cynthia Moody. Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Odell Collins; step-father, Clyde Skinner; brothers, William (Mice), Willie (Doolie) and Lynn (Lee). He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Mattie Skinner; wife, Cynthia Collins; two sisters, Mattie Collins of Merrillville, Indiana and Peggy (Charles) Neal of Matteson, Illinois; three brothers, Luther Collins of East Chicago, Indiana, Roosevelt (Janice) Collins of Decatur, Illinois and Claude Glover of East Chicago, Indiana; three daughters, Shante Collins, Terion Collins and Mischke Moody; one son, Da’Von Cleaves-Collins; stepdaughter, Tiana Neal; four granddaughters, Shalay Payton, Sharell Collins, Lyrik Collins and Simone Moody; also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends. Service 1:00 p.m. Friday January 29th at the Spielman Mortuary 344 W. University Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.). Interment in Elmhurst Cemetery following the service. In accordance with Minnesota Health Department regulations, we can accommodate a maximum of 45 people in the mortuary at any given time. Please be respectful and limit your time in the mortuary if it appears to be getting crowded. Also, in accordance with Minnesota Health Department regulations, you are required to wear a face covering to enter the mortuary and also while inside the building. **PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE MORTUARY. THIS IS NOT OUR LOT AND THE OWNERS WILL HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE.
