March 21st, 1949 - April 7th, 2019
Age 70, of Stacy, Minnesota passed away on April 7th, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents, John Ledger and Bernice Sharpley, II; sister, Andrea Haliburton; brother, Kenny Sharpley; and son, Leon Murray. Survived by his wife, Donna Lee Bliss Sharpley; children, Erica (Sherelle) Stanley, Omaur (Meghan) Bliss, John Ledger (Denice) Sharpley, IV, and Alexandria Sharpley; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Mary Ann Hill and Shiela (Charles) Birmingham; brother, Wayne Sharpley; also survived by a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Service Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 712 Burr Street at Minnehaha Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101. Private inurnment. Public Visitation one hour prior to service at church on Tuesday (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.).

Spielman Mortuary has been helping Saint Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family. We still operate Spielman Mortuary with the same traditions of pride, sensitivity, value, and attention to detail that the Spielmans followed for over three decades....
