Edward A. Lang

Mr. Edward A. Lang, 95, of Lang Drive died peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015 following a brief illness and with his family near. A lifelong area resident, Ed was born in the family home in the Town of Glen on April 3, 1920 to the late Edward and Lena Wrobel Lang. On July 27, 1943 he was united in marriage to Caroline Olmstead Lang. In 2013 they celebrated 70 years of marriage and sadly she passed away on June 13th of this year. Ed was a farmer most of his life and known as the "Gladiolus Man." He was also employed by the Town of Glen as a truck driver for several years until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children, Edward W. "Billy" Lang and his wife Mary of Jacksonville, FL and Charleen Strain of Glen, NY; 3 grandchildren James Lang, Trenton Strain and Parry Strain. Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Arrangements have not been finalized at this time and will be announced at a later date. They have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY.
