Marion E. Pellegrino
September 25th, 1948 - October 19th, 2015
Mrs. Marion E. Pellegrino, age 67, died peacefully on October 19, 2015 at her home in Gloversville, following a long illness. She was born September 25, 1948 in Gloversville, the daughter of Myron and Olive Horning Cromer. She was employed at JBF Leather, Finkle Distribution and lastly by Calaway Golf, Inc. of Johnstown. She enjoyed playing shuffleboard, golf and crafting. Marion was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Johnstown, where she was commissioned Deacon in 1990, established the prayer ministry, was a member of the alter guild, past member of the choir, church council member and organized the candle stand. She was also a member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose since 1983 and held the position of Senior Regent since 1995. She is survived by her husband, Victor E. Pellegrino, whom she married on September 24, 1995. Also surviving are a son, Vincent Christman (Brittany) of Gloversville; three stepchildren: David Pellegrino (Heather) of Gloversville, Crysti Simonds (Gary) of Canajoharie and Jennifer King (Michael) of Arizona; two brothers: Ronald Cromer (Bonnie) of Gloversville and Michael Cromer (Sandy) of California; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her parents, also by two brothers: Myron Cromer, Jr. and Richard Cromer and a sister, Delores Cole. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7:00PM Thursday, October 22nd at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville. A Funeral Service will take place 11:00AM Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, Johnstown, with the Rev. L. David Almleaf officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Grace Lutheran Church, 1 W. Montgomery St; Johnstown, NY 12095 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave; Gloversville, NY 12078.
