Betty A. Porter, 67, of Fort Johnson, New York passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital with her family by her side. Betty was born on January 3, 1948 in Sidon, Mississippi to Aaron and Ola (Lishman) Pruett. She grew up in Mississippi and attended the University of Mississippi where she became a Pharmacist. Following her retirement, she moved to New York to be closer to her daughter. Betty is survived by her only daughter, Tracy (Joseph) Amsinger; and her four cherished grandchildren, McCabe, Ethan, Ashton and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband G. "David" Porter. Services for Betty are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Edward L. Wilkinson Activities Fund in her memory.
