Josephine Boyle
April 9th, 1922 - January 27th, 2015
Mrs. Josephine Boyle, 92, of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully at Cobleskill Regional Hospital on January 27, 2015. Born in Garfield, New Jersey on April 9, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Veronica Wyka Rebisz. Josephine was raised in Broadalbin, NY and attended local schools. She was employed for many years by the New York Telephone Company, she started out as a Phone Operator and then went on to secretarial and office work. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. Josephine was devoted to her faith. She is of the Roman Catholic Faith and was most currently a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Delanson and Our Lady of Hope in Fort Plain. She was a member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady of Fatima and a member of the Delanson Seniors Group. She married Hugh S. Boyle on November 25, 1939, they shared a beautiful union of 65 years before his passing on December 11, 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Trahan and her husband Charles of Fort Plain, son Phillip Boyle of Delanson; grandchildren Charles Trahan (Eileen) of Rochester, Matthew Trahan of Fort Plain, Eric Trahan(Lisa) of Ames, Jeffrey Trahan(Sara) of Davenport, Iowa and Philene Hudson and James of Fort Plain; great grandchildren, Lynn, Brian and Alyssa Trahan, Jacob, Genevieve, Rosemary, Gordon, Kathrine, Emma Trahan, Kevin, Scott, and Michael Trahan, Zachary and Troy Hudson. She is also survived by a sister, Loretta Jean Montgomery of Broadalbin and sisters in law, Thelma Rebisz and Marianne Rebisz. In addition to her parents and husband she is predeceased by her siblings, Sophie Prokop, Bruno Rebisz, Ann Lesperance, Martin Rebis, Joseph Rebisz, John Rebisz and two infant sisters, Bertha and Josephine. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 9am until 10am at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025. A mass of Christian burial will follow, taking place at St. Joseph's Church, 7 North Street in Broadalbin at 11 AM. Fr. Tom Connery as celebrant. Burial will take place in the Spring at the Broadalbin Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of one's choice.
