Janet Marie McNeil of Parker, Colorado passed away on Monday, March 23rd, 2015 in her sleep at the age of 64. She was born at Fitzsimons Medical Center in Denver, Colorado on March 17th, 1951 to Gloria and William Daugherty. She graduated from Marian High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1969. She married Patrick J. McNeil on December 26th, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska. She had been a manager of the Parker Dairy Queen and a bookkeeper until becoming medically retired in the early 1990†™s. This gave her the opportunity to RV extensively, snowbird in the south and travel throughout the western US with husband. Among her greatest joys were doing things for and spending time with her loved ones. She also liked to do crafts like making jewelry and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her father William Daugherty, mother Gloria Daugherty, brother Michael Daugherty, son Jim McNeil, and beloved Dachshund Taz. She is survived by her husband Patrick McNeil and daughter Colleen McNeil of Parker, Colorado; daughter-in-law Amy McNeil and grandson Paul McNeil of Huntington, West Virginia; sister Debbie Bonar of Mandeville, Louisiana; brother Buddy Daugherty of Aurora, Colorado; brother Patrick Daugherty of Florissant, Colorado; 2 aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and her dog Goldie. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at Joy Lutheran Church in Parker, Colorado. Janet requested that minimal black be worn at her service and please no Easter lilies. Please send flowers to the church or directly to the family or make a donation in her name with any cancer organization. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of the wonderful people at South Metro Fire, Crown Crest of Parker and Parker Adventist Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Janet.
