Karen L. Rulison
May 11th, 1943 - August 9th, 2014
Karen L. Rulison, 71, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Nathan Littauer Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born May 11, 1943 in Gloversville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Florence Hayner Robbins. Karen was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Angels Bowling League. She was also an avid New York Yankee fan. Survivors include her beloved husband Melvin Rulison, Sr of Gloversville; sons Mel Rulison, Jr (Sunshine) of Gloversville, Mark Rulison (Amy) of Johnstown and Randy Rulison (Kim) of Scotia; daughters Christine Chichester (Carl) of Gloversville, Elizabeth Darling (Matt) of Gloversville and Lori Yerdon (Randy) of St. Johnsville; brothers Robert Robbins of Johnstown and Steve Robbins of Gloversville; sisters Hazel Henderson, Thelma Zimmerman and Eleanor Howell. Karen is also survived by 14 grandchildren. Besides her parents Karen is predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Crasper, Betty Aguilera, Helen Peek, Joan Tallon and Doris Holloway Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. in Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street Gloversville with Rev. Christopher Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown. A visitation to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Karen's memory to Gloversville Little League 50 Harrison Street Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home Gloversville.
