Patrick W. McLaughlin

Mr. Patrick W. McLaughlin, 46, of Palatine Bridge died suddenly on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Born in Albany, NY on March 16, 1968 he was the son of Thomas and Frances McLaughlin. Pat graduated from Rensselaer High School and later went on to attend Hudson Valley Community College. He was employed as an auto mechanic for the Shults Auto Center in Palatine Bridge. Pat will be remembered for his love of life and family. A true family man, he was a wonderful son, husband and father. Coined the "Dance Dad" at Studio North, he would spend countless hours supporting and coaching his daughter. He was an avid Mets fan, and loved baseball. Pat will certainly be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his parents; his wife, Paula M. Heiser McLaughlin; his children, Matthew McLaughlin and Christina McLaughlin; three brothers, Mark, Thomas Jr. and Stephen McLaughlin; his father in law, Paul Heiser; brothers in law, Jeffrey Heiser and his wife Joanne and Wayne Heiser and his wife Renee; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Patrick will commence on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with the Rev. Alan Griffith presiding. Interment will follow in the Fort Plain Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 3 until 7p.m. at the funeral home.
