Drusilla S. Jurusik
August 26th, 1917 - May 2nd, 2014
Drusilla S. Jurusik, 96, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 26, 1917 in Sammonsville, New York, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and May Moore. Drusilla loved her family especially her 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, crocheting and sewing her families' annual Halloween costumes. Drusilla was very active with the Amsterdam Senior Citizens but was best known for doing the chicken dance at any wedding she attended. Survivors include her beloved husband of 44 years Joseph Jurusik of Gloversville; daughter Carol Hladik (Joe) of St. Johnsville; six grandchildren Kevin Nicosia, Connie Nicosia, Drusilla Williams, David Hladik, Brian Hladik and Sandra Hladik Nichols and 12 great grandchildren. Drusilla is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Drusilla is predeceased by her daughters Jean and Joan Blackwood along with several brothers and sisters. A visitation in which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 10 A.M. at the funeral home with Father Mathew Wetsel officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Drusilla's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice 108 Steele Avenue Gloversville, NY 12078.
