James D. Champlin, 40, of Wilton, formerly of Gloversville, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, October 20, 2013, due to complications from Diabetes. Born on October 13, 1973 in Amsterdam, James was the son of the late David Lasher and Doris Champlin Warner. He was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for Medical Staffing Network of Albany for the last several years. James was a football fan, always cheering on the Oakland Raiders. His greatest passion was being a proud father to his beloved son, Noah. He enjoyed attending functions for Noah, especially little league baseball and football games. He is survived by his mother: Doris Warner of Fonda; his son: Noah Champlin of Johnstown; a brother Craig Warner; several half brothers and sisters; and many friends. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 11AM until Noon on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at Noon. Cremation will take place a Parkview Crematory, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund for his son Noah Champlin, C/O First Niagara Bank, 138 N. Comrie Ave, Johnstown, NY 12095
