March 16th, 1965 - September 27th, 2017
Mr. Jody A. Rothmeyer, 52, of Division Street, Gloversville, NY died suddenly on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Born in Wausau, WI on March 16, 1965 he was the son of the late Ardin and Violet Olson Rothmeyer. Jody was employed by the Golub Corporation of Schenectady, NY. An avid outdoorsman, Jody founded the local chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK). He enjoyed being in nature, fishing, kayaking and led several hikes in the Adirondacks. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Todd. Survivors include his wife, Barbette Rothmeyer; his step mother, Mary Rothmeyer; three step daughters, Erikka Coffin, Samantha Coffin and Kaci Coffin; one daughter, Jessie Rothmeyer; his siblings, Jay, Jon, Jack, Joel and June. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally: Kierra, Nivea, Avery, Janasia, Carson Amelia and Arya. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 7p.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with Certified Celebrant Peter J. Rose, CFSP presiding. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 5p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
