Robert F. Walter

Mr. Robert F. Walter, 86, of Gloversville, passed away March 13, 2013. He was born April 15, 1926 in Gloversville, son of the late Delos and May Brown Walter. Mr. Walter was educated in Gloversville schools and served his country from 1944-1946 in the Army. Bob was employed at the former Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam as a yarn clerk from 1948-1969. He was also employed at Beechnut from 1970-1989 in the sanitation department. He was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Walter was pre-deceased by a brother Woodard "Woody" Walter and is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and several friends. Inurnment will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. at 10 am on March 21, 2013. There will be no other services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
