Mrs. Vera Masaitis, age 93, of Gloversville, formerly of Amsterdam, died November 12, 2012. She was born October 7, 1919 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late Fiorenzo and Rosina Tambasco. Among her survivors are four children: Jeanette, Alex, Michael and Kathleen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 14 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38103. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
