Ronald "Ron" L. White
April 12th, 1944 - August 29th, 2017
Fort Plain, NY-Mr. Ronald L. White, 73, of the town of Ephratah, passed away on Tuesday evening, Aug. 29th, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was in the presence of his loved ones at the time of his passing. He was born in Utica on April 12, 1944, son of the late Donald and Marion (Gallup) White and he received his education in Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School. He was the owner/operator of his own trucking outfit and was employed by various trucking companies throughout the area. Ron also operated various farms in his lifetime. He loved watching and participating in tractor pulls in Fulton County and throughout the state. Ron was a member of the Fulton County John Deere Pullers. Survivors include his children, Tracey Moore of Caroga Lake, Daniel Sulwikowski of Johnstown, Lorrie Brownell and husband Chris of Fonda, Matthew White of Caroga Lake, and Jason White and wife Jennifer of Gloversville; siblings, Linda of Arizona, Doc of Ft. Plain, Maggie of Gloversville, Donna of Ft. Plain, Dave of Ft. Plain, Rick of Gloversville, Joe of Ft. Plain and Melody of Colorado; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, David and siblings, Gene and Robert. A memorial service will take place on Sat., Sept. 9, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Grandview Baptist Church, 15 Washington St., Ft. Plain with the Pastor Dan West officiating. Burial will be private. In Ron's memory, kindly consider contributions to Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville or St. Jude's Children's Hospital; envelopes will be available at the church. Following the memorial service, relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Ron's life at the Fort Plain Senior Center, 204 Canal Street beginning at 1 PM.
