Jane Zanella

Mrs. Phebe Jane Orrey Zanella, 87, of Midline Road, Perth passed away peacefully at home July 24, 2012. Born on January 20, 1925 in West Galway, she was the daughter of the late Edward Nelson Orrey and Berth Mae Cranker Orrey. Jane spent most of her life as an area resident. She attended local schools, and worked in various mills in Amsterdam. Jane was of the Protestant faith. She was a life member of Local #294 Teamsters, a former member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce , and a former member of the Montgomery County Liquor Dealers Association. Jane along with her husband Carl, owned and operated the Midline Inn for many years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her two beloved sons and daughters in law, Richard and Karen Hudson and Larry and Kathleen Capel- Zanella; two sisters, Abbie Madej and Mary Douglass Bell; five grandchildren, Hollilee Sunil Nichani, Tracey William Frey, Terry Hudson and his fiancé Brandi Foerster, Trudy Hudson and her fiancé Ken Seeber and Ashely Hudson; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Agresta, Maddox Nichani, Cole Hudson and Priya Nichani; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Zanella J.r. in 1996; and two sisters, Anna Weiss and Dorothy Oare. Visitation hours are on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with a private service for family to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Zanella's name may be made to the Perth Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of one's choice.
