Frank R. Parisi
June 14th, 1923 - February 18th, 2012
Mr. Frank R. Parisi, Jr., 88, of Broadalbin passed away Saturday morning, February 18, 2012 at the E.L. Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam. Frank was born in Schenectady, NY on May 14, 1923, the son of the late Frank R. & Mary Criniti Parisi, Sr. Frank was raised in Schenectady and attended local schools. He was enlisted into the United States Army on March 13, 1943, serving in WWII he was a Private in several different specialties such as Telephone Switch Board Operator, Machine Gunner, Rifleman, Supply Clerk and Postal Clerk. He was honorably discharged on February 7, 1946. He was married to Beverly Jean Pelcher on November 15, 1974. She predeceased him on June 22, 2006. Frank was a member of the Local Union # 83 in Albany and worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for Levi Case in Schenectady. His work was his life, even at home he was always concentrating on working around the house. Frank also loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Survivors include his son, Wayne Dery and his wife Kathy of Broadalbin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his wife Beverly, he is predeceased by a son Lee Dery; his siblings Jim, Dominick, Nicholas and William Parisi, Connie Montorio, Isabelle Maguire and Edith Korabic. Funeral Arrangements are in the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY 12010. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family at Frank's request. Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany NY 12205. Frank's family would like to thank the second floor staff at the E.L. Wilkinson RHCF for the excellent care and support throughout Franks stay with them, also a very grateful Thank You to Frank's sister in law and brother in law Harold & Phyllis Bell for always being there when ever needed.
